Sun salute is a series of 12 yoga asanas performed one after another without stopping. You’ll move from one posture to the next – slowly or at speed, you choose – on either an inhalation or exhalation.
Each posture counteracts the posture one before, so for instance, each backbend is followed by a forward bend to rebalance & realign the spine. You’ll lengthen and strengthen, flex and extend the main muscles of the body, lubricate & open major joints, regulate your breathing, build bone strength & muscle suppleness, generate heat to warm your muscles thus making it easier to stretch them, and bring greater flexibility to your spine & hips. All you need is 10 minutes to feel amazing & energised. So forget that 2nd cup of coffee or that extra slice of toast, spend those 10minutes awakening your body and senses to the day.
