Here at Yoga Breaks in Spain we do all we can to take care of both the physical and spiritual well-being of our guests while they are with us in Spain.
One way in which we do this is to offer a range of yogi herbal teas that revitalise the senses and boost the immune system.
We use these teas as herbs have proven therapeutic benefits, for example:
Ginger – A warming spice good for arthritic aches and pains as it widens blood vessels and improves circulation.
Elderflower – Traditionally used for colds as it helps clear the nasal passages of catarrh.
Peppermint – Stimulates the production of bile and helps break down fat in the digestive system. Great for helping with nausea.
Chamomile – The flower contains a mild tranquilliser which, when used as an infusion, helps to relax the body and aid sleep.
Green Tea – Japanese green tea leaves contain antioxidants which protect our cells from damage, it is said to have an anti-ageing effect.
Cinnamon – has anti-clotting properties and can help control blood sugar levels.
Fruit teas may taste nice but are often developed using synthetic flavours which have no medicinal benefit. Check the label if you are not sure.
We have developed a great relationship with our friends at yogitea.eu who share with us their fabulous range of teas which are not only organic but are also caffeine free.
Yogi Tea explain the development of their teas
“In 1969 a Master of Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda started teaching in the West. During his classes, he used to share Ayurvedic recipes and practices with his students, including an ancient recipe for a tea that would help them with their daily yoga practice, ‘Yoga in a Teacup’, and he would serve this tea after every yoga class. It was initially known as ‘the Yogi‘s Tea’ and ultimately this became YOGI TEA®.”
They use over 80 different herbs and spices sourced from more than 20 countries with a goal to producing their product with consideration and respect of the environment.
Favourites among our guests are Classic, Green and Women’s Fitness and Revitalise. Check out the Yogi Teas website to discover their whole range.
